Video: Lil’ Kim & Mary J. Blige vs. Nicki Minaj & Keyshia Cole?

On NYE, Lil’ Kim performed at the Hippodrome in Springfield, Massachusetts where in the video above she refers to Keyshia Cole’s current single with Nicki Minaj. During the performance Lil’ Kim stops at the 1:06 mark, expressing her feelings that the song “I Ain’t Thru” could be a shot at her and close friend Mary J. Blige. What happened to Kim being on one of Keyshia’s most successful singles in her career?

Could a possible diss track from the two come in the future? stay tuned.

Video: Kanye West Ft. Rick Ross, Jay z, Nicki Minaj and Bon Iver - Monster

The word is that this is not the final version of the “Monster” music video, but our layman's guess is that any changes will pertain to some esoteric postproduction technique more so than the actual content. Unless Kanye really wants to squeeze in a few more models hanging from nooses? Also present: a shirtless 'Ye, getting groped; a dapper Jay-Z, dressed as Mr. Blonde while ignoring a dead call girl; a sedentary Rick Ross, his beard looking extra Rick Ross–y; an animated Nicki Minaj interrogating, and then briefly giving a lap dance to, a second Nicki Minaj; zombie schoolgirls playing hopscotch; and, our personal favorite, a three-way scenario involving two dead, but possibly just disinterested, ladies. Despite all that titillating content, though, the clip feels more moderately paced than most music videos; either that means the cuts are relatively slower than the manic rate at which the rest of the field generally operates, or there really is more work to be done before the video's ready for public consumption. Anyway: Dead model time!

PICS: Nicki Minaj Covers KING

America’s favorite barbie graces the cover of KING Magazine.

You did mention earlier how everything has been time consuming. But when that time frees up, what kind of guy do you look for to be sentimental and organic with?

Um, I look for someone who is calm, someone who is strong enough to not have to win every argument, someone who allows a woman to be her crazy self and someone with a conscience not to feel less of a man. You know, someone who is able to honor his woman but also bring out the freak in his woman.

How should your Ken bring out the freak in you, Barbie?

Just being super aggressive when the time is right.

Are we talking about Mortal Kombat–style “Come here” aggression?

Just something that makes me feel like they’re in control, when we are behind closed doors

Nicki Minaj's Former Manager Debra Antney, Reviews Pink Friday

Antney, who happens to be Waka Flocka’s mom and Nicki’s former manager, gave Vibe her review of Minaj’s debut cd, and it wasn’t at all flattering.

"It's terrible. I like some stuff, but she went too left. I don't think people were ready for her to come [out with pop]. When I had Nicki, I really wanted her to sing. That's why I took her for training cause Nicki loves singing, but she kept saying to me, 'Deb, I can't do it yet because people won't understand.' And that's why the [rap] mixture was done to introduce them to all of Nicki. I think [Pink Friday] was very disappointing to a lot of her fans. She didn't need a lot of [the] features. That was one of the biggest things like... you gave people so many features, give them you now. Nicki could be so much better because—outside of anything that people say—she's very multi-talented. I really wish that she would learn to be more of an artist.

I didn't particularly care for ["Roman's Revenge"], but when Eminem came in I liked it. He made the song. [Nicki] didn't have to go there with [Lil' Kim]. My views on that is that she came too far to go back that route. And Kim does not even have to go there. There are no comparisons to them. Some things are best left unsaid. The whole things is stupid. I'm very disappointed that she would go that route. 'Cause I know all that she was taught. She don't have to go there with anybody. That was the stuff we always discussed. People had to learn to love Nicki— that's how the door opened up. It wasn't about Kim or Foxy or any of the rest of them. So I was just a little disappointed [by her album], but If she likes it, I love it."'

She's saying basically what I said but is it how she feels or is she just hating?

Nicki Minaj Dubbed The "Queen Of Hip-Hop" By Rolling Stone

Nicki Minaj Rolling Stone Feature
Lil Kim may not agree, but the newly dubbed “Queen of Hip-Hop”, Nicki Minaj, has definitely stolen the hearts of Rolling Stone Magazine.
In the new spread featuring the Young Money Princess, Nicki opens up about her success in the industry and why being famous wasn't her agenda behind making it in Hip-Hop.
“When I was little, I used to ask God to make me rich so that I could take care of my mom,” Nicki said in the interview. “I always believed that if I could take care of my mother then she wouldn't have to stay with my father.”

In addition to discussing her past, Nicki Minaj also discusses her sexuality. After claiming to be an openly gay woman who thought “boys were icky”; Nicki is now changing her tune stating that she loves the wood.
“I think women are sexy,” Nicki continued. “But I am not going to lie and say that I date girls.”

Trendy Tuesdays With Lucky Linden: Nicki Minaj @ the Wendy Williams Show

In time for her Album release Nicki appeared on the Wendy Williams show on November 17th. Nicki had one of her signature wigs on (blonde with pink tips) and wore a pink leggings with black lace over the top. I think that she has ALOT of personality in her style. I don't think it matters who she is influenced by she still makes it her own. I also like her chunky bangles and the colorful scarf. I would steal those two things from her look here and keep the rest of my outfit neutral. If you want bangles like that you can find someone who sells painted bangles. I know a really great accessories designer her name is Stephanie Vidal shes a FIT grad. More info about Stephanie to come.
