Nikki Minaj Sets New Billboard Record

Nicki Minaj has yet to release her debut album, ‘Pink Friday’, but she already has reason to celebrate. The ‘Check It Out’ performer is now the female rapper with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100 in the history of the chart. Minaj has 7 songs appearing on the tally, all of which are among Nielsen Soundscan’s 200 best-selling singles of 2010 to date for a grand total of 4,298,00o units sold.
The songs that have allowed the rapper to accomplish this feat include her solo song ‘Your Love’ and her features on Ludacris’ ‘My Chick Bad’, Lil Wayne’s ‘Knockout’, Trey Songz’s ‘Bottoms Up’, Usher’s ‘Lil Freak’, Sean Kingston’s ‘Letting Go (Dutty Love)’ and Jay Sean’s ‘It Ain’t The End’. Expect Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday’ in stores on November 23rd

ROSS SETTLES FOR #2 TO EMINEM

So rumors of Marshall’s demise on the charts (or slide to #2 to be less dramatic) have turned out to be greatly exagerrated. Despite projections that seemed to indicate otherwise, Em rallied at the last minute to outsell Ross by 11,000 units (187K to Rawse’s 176K) and hold on to the #1 spot for the 5th consecutive week. To date he’s sold 1.6 million copies of Recovery. And Teflon Don will be the first Ross album that has failed to land at #1 in its first week in stores, which is ironic because it might just be his best work yet. I think the C.O. Rumors are starting to catch up.

S/O 2 Nicki Minaj Becomes First Female To Top Billboard Rap Charts Since Lil Kim

Continuing to look past the negativity, Nicki Minaj scores big after making Billboard charts as the first single by a female emcee to top the Rap Songs category in over seven years.

Trust folks, it wasn't "Massive Attack".

Under the radar until recently, her second single "Your Love" claimed the Rap charts, a feat that was only accomplished by Lil Kim's "Magic Stick" featuring 50 Cent, along with Missy Elliot getting it done solo with "Work It" back in '02, according to Billboard.
