Video: Kanye West Ft. Rick Ross, Jay z, Nicki Minaj and Bon Iver - Monster
The word is that this is not the final version of the “Monster” music video, but our layman's guess is that any changes will pertain to some esoteric postproduction technique more so than the actual content. Unless Kanye really wants to squeeze in a few more models hanging from nooses? Also present: a shirtless 'Ye, getting groped; a dapper Jay-Z, dressed as Mr. Blonde while ignoring a dead call girl; a sedentary Rick Ross, his beard looking extra Rick Ross–y; an animated Nicki Minaj interrogating, and then briefly giving a lap dance to, a second Nicki Minaj; zombie schoolgirls playing hopscotch; and, our personal favorite, a three-way scenario involving two dead, but possibly just disinterested, ladies. Despite all that titillating content, though, the clip feels more moderately paced than most music videos; either that means the cuts are relatively slower than the manic rate at which the rest of the field generally operates, or there really is more work to be done before the video's ready for public consumption. Anyway: Dead model time!

Trendy Tuesday With Lucky Linden: Review of Hellobeautiful Salon
So, last week I got a dramatic change in my look. I got my hair cut into a layered bob just in time for the holidays. I wanted to go somewhere good and a friend recommended a hairstylist named Faith from the Hello Beautiful salon in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I decided to post a little review of my experience there. Faith specializes in cutting, coloring and styling curly hair like mines. I wanted a look that would be able to wear curly as well as straight and I knew I wanted bangs. So when I first came into the salon it had a grungy trashy 80's feel to it. There was pink leopard print everywhere. It was kind of cute.. Very laid back..A dog jumped on my coat and I said that I was allergic to dogs and the stylist moved my things. Now, on to the styling...She first had a consultation with me and asked me about my hair, she touched it and she recommended that I cut it in a layered bob. She washed my hair and blew it out and then she started snipping away at my hair. When she was done my long hair had been transformed into a short bob with bangs! It took a couple days to get used to but I realllly think Faith is a talented stylist and I got a good haircut. If you're interested in the salon the website is hellobeautifulsalonnyc.com. They do all sorts of other things at the salon such as makeup, nails and extensions.

PICS: Nicki Minaj Covers KING
America’s favorite barbie graces the cover of KING Magazine.
You did mention earlier how everything has been time consuming. But when that time frees up, what kind of guy do you look for to be sentimental and organic with?
Um, I look for someone who is calm, someone who is strong enough to not have to win every argument, someone who allows a woman to be her crazy self and someone with a conscience not to feel less of a man. You know, someone who is able to honor his woman but also bring out the freak in his woman.
How should your Ken bring out the freak in you, Barbie?
Just being super aggressive when the time is right.
Are we talking about Mortal Kombat–style “Come here” aggression?
Just something that makes me feel like they’re in control, when we are behind closed doors

DMX Moved To Mental Health Unit
Rapper Earl Simmons, better known as DMX, is housed in a mental-health unit at an Arizona State Prison Complex facility called Alhambra near 25th street and Van Buren.
DMX was sentenced to a year in jail (minus 113 days served) on December 16, after he pleaded guilty to
violating the terms of his probation. At his sentencing, Judge Christine
Mulleneaux told him she believes he has "an undiagnosed mental
condition," possibly bi-polar disorder.
DMX's manager, Nakia Walker, wouldn't comment
specifically on whether DMX might have a mental disorder, but she says
she wasn't surprised when he was moved to a mental-health unit. The
rapper himself always has refused to comment on speculation about his
mental state. In 2001, he threatened to beat up writer William Shaw for
asking about it in a Blender magazine interview. "Waaaay too personal," DMX said.
The embattled hip-hop star is incarcerated for the 13th time. His record
includes more than 25 arrests across the nation, 11 felony convictions,
and 15 misdemeanor convictions.
Arizona Department of Corrections files confirm that DMX was admitted to the Flamenco Mental
Health Unit at Alhambra on December 20. According to Walker, he will not
be allowed to have visitors for 30 days.

Trendy Tuesday With Lucky Linden: How To Walk (Properly) In Heels
Everyone has seen that girl walking in a fly pair of heels but ruined it by walking like a duck or looking awkward and stiff. Walking in heels takes practice and wikihow.com has a nice little mini guide about strutting in heels.
Start small and work your way up. Don't go from not ever having worn heels to slipping on some 4 inch stilettos. There are many heels to choose from, varying in height, thickness and shape. Training your feet will allow your ankles to develop the strength they need to walk safely and gracefully in high heels.
Practice. Wear your heels for a day around the house before you wear them out.
Add cushioning wherever there's a lot of pressure and/or friction. There are cushions made in various shapes and from different materials that you can stick on the inside of your shoe for more comfortable walking. Use them generously.
Give your feet a break. Sit down every twenty minutes or so.[2] If you're in the bathroom, sit down. Don't take your heels off, this will only allow the pain to worsen. They swell a bit after you take them off, which makes it harder to continue after.
Take baby steps
Put your heel down first right before your toes (don't plop them down at the same time, and don't put your toes down first). Once your weight is on the balls of your feet, shift your weight forward, as if you're walking on your tip toes.
My 2 cents: Remember: Being fashionable is all about being comfortable (as possible) while still looking great.

Trendy Tuesdays: Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Black Pink White
2009′s Nike Air Griffey Max 1 retro in Varsity Royal and Volt was an instant sellout, a look popular enough to spawn a GS-sized run that should hit Nike Sportswear accounts soon after the new year. The above pictured pair of AGM1s isn’t 100% a GS model, but you’d have to at least lean that way with its high contrast pink/black/white colorup. Just think of all the girls in pink Boston Red Sox gear who could fit this into their baseball costumes! They’d probably be a big hit with the ladies even if they were your typical mens release, so have a closer look after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates.
Bangladesh Talks Lil Wayne’s “6 Foot 7 Foot”
Bangladesh spoke with Complex about making the “6 Foot 7 Foot” beat and finally getting paid for his work on “A Milli“:
Bangladesh on the making of “6 Foot 7 Foot”…
“It was a simple transaction man. I actually made the beat back in like the summer time and I had it for a minute, but I didn’t know who was worthy of the beat. My publisher, Juan Madrid, told me T.I was looking for something. But I’m kinda used to giving T.I music and not getting anything done out of it, so I wasn’t really feeling the idea but I sent it to [Atlantic Records executive] Gee Roberson anyway. He immediately hit me and said, ‘Wayne’ll kill this beat. This is Wayne.’ So I just let him navigate the situation and here we are. I think [Wayne] is at the top of his game. There could be a lot of other rappers on that beat that might not do it justice.
“I wasn’t in the mind state to [one-up ‘A Milli’]. Its just the sample made me do it. The song’s sample comes from Harry Belafonte’s [“Day-O (Banana Boat Song)”], you know, “Daylight come and me wanna go home.” It’s in there but it’s flipped a certain way. The, ‘Six foot, seven foot’ is the main part in that song. It took me a while just to get that right. Everything gotta be in pocket so even though it sounds simple, it takes a while to get the genius to marinate.
“I wouldn’t say ["6 Foot 7 Foot"] is better than ‘A Milli’ because ‘A Milli’ did so much to hip-hop. When he first did ‘A Milli,’ I didn’t see the vision. So, off the rip it gave my opinion about it not being what I thought it should be because of his approach. And I’m correct because he said in an interview, he didn’t even feel like it was a single. He just felt like it was like something to go in and rip, some mixtape shit. But it ended up being much more than I expected and much better because it didn’t have the typical elements of a song that you usually need to make a hit. I did my part, he did his. It all came together and it worked. I think because he seen what ‘A Milli’ did, it prepared him more for this so I could tell his writing was different.”
On getting paid for his work on “A Milli”…
“It’s like 75%-85% there but the good thing is it’s being handled. It’s happening through my appointed person. So nah, no direct [conversations with Wayne or Baby]. I got an appointed person that’s speaking with [Wayne and Baby] and my attorney. I’ve spoken [to them through him], but we ain’t really got on the phone. I mean, we can get on the phone but I think everything has to really lighten up and clear out all the way. Everything is being taken care of so we can move on to other business. Sometimes you have to go extra routes to get what you need. That’s why you have attorneys.
“I think the respect is there to know who you’re dealing with. I always knew Wayne was a different kinda dude. I knew he was not a political thinker. I think he’s a rap guy, he’s a rapper so he’ll eat beats. It doesn’t really matter who’s making the beats, if it intrigues him he’s gonna go in. Not, ‘Oh man I don’t fuck with this dude. I ain’t doing this and I ain’t doing that.’ I think he’s just a rapper, so he knows the value of getting on shit that he feels. With other rappers, there are a lot of political decisions that make them not do certain things and not the music and the feeling of it. I think that Wayne is definitely a feeler of the music.”

Lil' Scrappy & Diamond's Homes Are Both In Foreclosure
They're constantly rapping about having a "lotta money" and such, but rapper Lil' Scrappy and his rapper girlfriend Diamond are in FORECLOSURE!
Lil Scrappy, government name Darryl Richardson, bought his 2,836 sq ft home in Conyers, GA back in 2004. He copped it for $182,800 back when he was still dropping singles on the radio, but not only has the home (pictured above) devalued to $123,000, but the bank foreclosed on it this past August.
And if he thought he was going to just move in with his "My Chick Bad" rapper girlfriend Diamond, that's a no-go. We've also got documents that show Diamond, government name Brittany Carpentero, did a short sale on her home this past September to Suntrust Bank. Why? Because she was facing foreclosure on her Walden Park neighborhood Atlanta home (pictured above).
She copped her house for $219,000 back in '02--2 years before her Crime Mob stint--and it's now only worth $202,000. But she had to sell it for half that amount.
Diamond's Porsche was also repossessed last month. Both homes are currently up for sale. And a source close to her tells YBF that Diamond and Scrappy are currently renting a home in Cobb County, but are behind on their rent. When frontin' goes wrong...

Nicki Minaj's Former Manager Debra Antney, Reviews Pink Friday
Antney, who happens to be Waka Flocka’s mom and Nicki’s former manager, gave Vibe her review of Minaj’s debut cd, and it wasn’t at all flattering.
"It's terrible. I like some stuff, but she went too left. I don't think people were ready for her to come [out with pop]. When I had Nicki, I really wanted her to sing. That's why I took her for training cause Nicki loves singing, but she kept saying to me, 'Deb, I can't do it yet because people won't understand.' And that's why the [rap] mixture was done to introduce them to all of Nicki. I think [Pink Friday] was very disappointing to a lot of her fans. She didn't need a lot of [the] features. That was one of the biggest things like... you gave people so many features, give them you now. Nicki could be so much better because—outside of anything that people say—she's very multi-talented. I really wish that she would learn to be more of an artist.
I didn't particularly care for ["Roman's Revenge"], but when Eminem came in I liked it. He made the song. [Nicki] didn't have to go there with [Lil' Kim]. My views on that is that she came too far to go back that route. And Kim does not even have to go there. There are no comparisons to them. Some things are best left unsaid. The whole things is stupid. I'm very disappointed that she would go that route. 'Cause I know all that she was taught. She don't have to go there with anybody. That was the stuff we always discussed. People had to learn to love Nicki— that's how the door opened up. It wasn't about Kim or Foxy or any of the rest of them. So I was just a little disappointed [by her album], but If she likes it, I love it."'
She's saying basically what I said but is it how she feels or is she just hating?
G-Dep Confesses To 17-Year Old Murder
It’s not everyday people walk into a police station and confess to a murder they committed nearly two decades ago, but that’s just what happened Wednesday night.
Travell Coleman aka G-Dep confessed to murdering a man on October 19, 1993 in Harlem, New York.
“It was just eating away at him,” a police source told The New York Post.
Police say they are sure Dep commited the crime because he knew details only the killer would know.
According to Dep he was riding his bike when he rolled up on 32-year old John Henkel, who he attempted to rob. Henkel resisted and was shot three times.
Dep was once signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy Records and had a hit records with “Special Delivery” and "Let's Get It" in 2001.
Remember The Tho
Recently though, the rapper has fallen on hard times, battling a reported heroin addiction.
He’s been arrested at least 25 times since 2003 for a variety of crimes including grand larceny and robbery.
